"Creating an interplay between the contemporary screenworld and traditional techniques, my work generally deals with the analog transformation of digital imagery.
Growing up with the computer as an integral part of my life, digital is the default mode for me, meaning that almost all the work is drafted on the computer in the first place. As digital images are based on information instead of material, the translation process into physical, haptic existence is of central significance to me. Therefore, I utilize different methods like working with a typewriter, woodblock printing, or a pen plotter, to name a few. By doing so, my aim is to make digital images tangible and physically experienceable." – Arno Beck
