ARTIST STATEMENT 

Esra Gülmen (1986, Istanbul) is an artist based in Berlin. After graduating from Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts with a degree in Interior Design, she worked as an academic for three years  teaching basic design at the same faculty. Over the years, she established herself as a Design Executive Officer for Europe’s acclaimed advertising agency Ogilvy Germany and as Head of Design at Heimat Berlin before dedicating herself to art. As a member of ADC Germany, Gülmen has been selected four times in a row as one of the ‘200 Best Illustrators Worldwide’ by Lürzer’s Archive Magazine and was invited as a speaker to various festivals such as OFFF Festival, Forward Festival and Pictoplasma Festival. Moreover, she has been a jury member for various design awards including Cannes Lions, One Show and Eurobest. Besides numerous group shows, she has had solo exhibitions in Amsterdam,Hamburg, Berlin and Istanbul. 

INDIVIDUALISATION

Inspired by Esra Gülmen’s iconic YESTERDAY’S FEELINGS sculpture, EXPANDED.ART presents an exclusive 72-Hour Edition Drop of a print edition you can look at until feelings arise, you can hang on the wall or give a moody loved one. 
For a personal touch, each print will be individualised by the artist with your name.

HOW TO

Esra Gülmen will add your name on the print. Simply write your name in the ORDER NOTE filed in your shopping cart on EXPANDED.ART

Please be aware that the artist will follow your exact spelling, including any typos you may make. We regret that later corrections or requests regarding the sentence cannot be accepted. 

ABOUT THE FRAME

The frame is white lacquered  ayous wood with acrylic glass that has 84% UV protection. Framed dimensions are 83 x 63 cm; 32 x 24.8 in. 

ABOUT THE 72-HOUR EDITION DROP  

The 72-HOUR EDITION DROP is a concept which allows artists to sell an unlimited amount of physical editions within the limited time frame of 72 hours on EXPANDED.ART. Each 72-HOUR EDITION DROP edition will be available for 72 hours only, then never again.  

The editions are numbered randomly, i.e. the edition number is not chronologically assigned to the time of order receipt. All 72-HOUR EDITION DROP prints are made to order. Each artwork will be produced and personalized specifically for each client, the artwork therefore is not eligible for return.
