"To me, this painting is a playful reminder to seize the day and to make something cool and creative. The storm in the background is like a tailwind. The girl in the image looks like she is on the fast lane anyway. The tattoo that is added to each edition is something that I actually do each day when I come to the studio: I draw a cross in my sketch book. It is like meditation and helps me focus on the creative work."

The Dutch painter Pascal Möhlmann adores Van Dyck and collaborates with Virgil Abloh. He calls his style New Beauty with Punk Rock Attitude because he turns away from cynicism and irony. "I learned a language from the old masters and brought it into the present. I paint what is now," Möhlmann says.

Each edition is individualized by the artist himself by hand painting the girl's arm tattoo and the cross individually on each print.

The frame is white-glazed ayous wood with acrylic glass that has 84% UV protection. Framed dimensions are 63 cm x 43 cm; 24 3/4 x 17 in.
